The Indian Express report cited Police as stating that, Despite the boy's attempts to seek help, the warden dismissed his complaints as trivial, “The student had complained to the warden. But he ignored it, considering it to be a minor issue. Later, he informed the boy’s parents, who immediately approached the police and filed a complaint.” The warden has since been arrested for negligence and failing to take action when the incidents were reported.
Authorities have filed charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Juvenile Justice Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act, which include criminal intimidation and sexual assault. The school's principal has also been called in for questioning regarding the events.
In separate news, a 25-year-old man, Raghuveer, running a cyber cafe in Bengaluru’s Hebbagodi, has been arrested for allegedly producing and selling fake government IDs and educational certificates for over a year. Customers mostly sought fake Aadhaar cards to check into hotels. An undercover police operation confirmed the activity, leading to a raid that also arrested his 19-year-old associate, Yashwanth.
