Bengaluru Skydeck News: The long-awaited Bengaluru Skydeck project, aspired to be a tourism landmark in the city, has finally completed its hunt for a location after several changes and rejections. The Skydeck, which is to be built at an estimated cost of 500 crore rupees, will be constructed on 30 acres of land in Kommaghatta, located behind the Kengeri Satellite Club and bordering NICE Road, The Times of India reported.

The Skydeck, an observation tower reaching clouds with a height of 250 metres, is envisioned as a signature structure in Bengaluru’s skyline. It is anticipated that after completion, the tower will provide a 360-degree view of the city and will become a tourist attraction as it is poised to draw tourists and locals alike.

The location chosen to build the tower provides scenic surroundings to increase the appeal of the tower, with a pleasing environment. The location is owned by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) and offers ample space.

The site was prioritised over other options because it is well-connected. Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure Limited (BSmile) has been handed over the responsibility to execute the construction of the project.

Before the selection of Kommaghatta as the location for the construction of the site, several locations, including Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout, Byappanahalli’s New Government Electric Factory land, KIADB property at Hemmigepura, and the Bangalore University campus at Jnanabharathi were into consideration by BBMP officials.
