Hasi Karaga Observed with Devotion

Ahead of the main event, Bengaluru marked the Hasi Karaga Mahotsava on Thursday night at the Shakti Peetha near Sampangi Lake. Devotees thronged the site as priest Gnanendra, adorned with fresh flower garlands and holding a ceremonial sword, carried the sacred Karaga for the 15th time.

The divine procession began at the Adishakti Temple located at the BBMP headquarters, moved through Hudson Circle, and returned to the Dharmaraya Swamy Temple for the concluding rituals. The streets were filled with spiritual fervour as huge camphor flames lit the night sky, and prayers echoed throughout the lanes.
