Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Commuters heading towards Bengaluru International Airport are urged by the traffic police to depart at least two hours before the planned flights owing to high traffic around the Hebbal flyover caused by significant infrastructure works. “On account of infrastructure work on the Hebbal flyover and due to the Bengaluru Metro rail work, the traffic flow at the flyover is slow during the peak hours. Due to this situation, vehicles traveling to the airport cannot reach on time; so, it is advised that vehicles going to the airport should leave at least two hours ahead of a scheduled flight,” the traffic police said Thursday.

The Bengaluru Development Authority's expansion of the flyover arm on the approach from K R Puram to Hebbal and the area surrounding the Hebbal police station are among the infrastructure projects mentioned by the traffic police. Other projects include the Bengaluru Metro rail works, which will run from Kempapura Cross to Hebbal junction, as well as at Kodigehalli and Byatarayanapura junctions.

To escape the traffic bottlenecks during rush hour, the traffic police have suggested using different routes.
