The Bengaluru Traffic Police have announced certain restrictions for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in the areas of Gunjur, Balagere, Gunjur Palya, and Vinayaka Nagar in view of the Town Festival taking place on July 30 and 31. The advisory has been issued to manage traffic efficiently during the Deepotsava and Pallakki events.
Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Restricted Routes for HGVs
-From Hoskote, HGVs should take a left turn at Hope Farm and proceed towards Sarjapura via Channasandra.
-From HAL Old Airport Road: HGVs are required to travel via Varthur Kodi, Hope Farm, and Channasandra towards Sarjapura.
-From Sarjapura: HGVs can use Chikkathirupathi, Dommasandra, and Kodathi to reach Bellandur.
-From Bellandur, HGVs should travel via Kodathi and Dommasandra towards Sarjapura.
Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: BMTC Bus Routes
-From Gunjur Depo-41 to Varthur: Buses can use Nerege Road, Hosahalli, and Madhura Nagara to reach Varthur.
In another advisory, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has initiated a major white-topping project on roads extending from Rajajinagar 1st Block to Dr Rajkumar Road. This significant infrastructure upgrade will result in a complete ban on all vehicular movement along this route for a minimum of five months. The project aims to improve the quality of Bengaluru's road infrastructure.

-To manage the expected traffic disruptions, the traffic police have implemented several diversions. Vehicles entering from the ISKCON entry point are advised to travel towards Star Circle (Modi Bridge), turn left to reach Navarang Circle, and then take another left to access Dr. Rajkumar Road 10th Cross.
-For those coming from Mahalakshmi Layout below the flyover, the recommended route is to turn right at Star Circle, proceed towards Navarang Circle, and continue on to Dr. Rajkumar Road 10th Cross. Additionally, vehicles originating from Rajajinagar Metro Station should make a U-turn at the 1st Block Junction, proceed to Star Circle, and take a left turn to arrive at Navarang Junction. An alternative route for these vehicles is to move straight towards GSF and access the 10th Cross.
