The Bengaluru Traffic Police on Wednesday released a traffic advisory for the upcoming few days. In its advisory, the police stated that there will be certain traffic restrictions on the Electronics City elevated flyover due to major maintenance work by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

The advisory from police stated that the traffic restrictions have been implemented from Wednesday night. The traffic police stated that the restrictions will be implemented as the maintenance work on the flyover was due for a long time. It further stated that the vehicular movement on both sides of the flyover will be restricted for a few hours.

While providing details, the advisory informed that the vehicular movement from Silk Board towards Electronic City and vice versa will be restricted from 11 pm to 6 am. However, the advisory further stated that the vehicles will be allowed on the flyover from 6 am to 11 pm, adding that the same routine will be continued until any further notice.

The elevated corridor from Silk Board junction to Electronic City is one of the busiest routes in the city, as most of the IT sector employees travel on this corridor. This 9.98-km elevated corridor connects the city's prominent areas to its technology and manufacturing hub. The officials stated that the maintenance work is being done in the night hours as the corridor is very busy during the office hours.

They further stated that asking all the commuters to travel on an alternative route will increase chaos. The authorities further urged the daily commuters to plan their travel accordingly and to cooperate.The advisory further urged the commuters traveling in the night hours to use an alternate route to avoid inconvenience, adding that things will get normal once the maintenance work is completed.

Earlier on Sunday, the Karnataka government confirmed that several new projects will get completed in the upcoming months to provide convenience to the residents.
