Bengaluru Traffic Update: The Bengaluru traffic police on Saturday stated that several key areas of the city are witnessing waterlogging due to the continuous rainfall. It further stated that the vehicular movement will remain disrupted in these areas, adding that the situation is likely to improve by the end of the day. The traffic police advised the commuters to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences. Earlier on Friday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that several districts of Karnataka are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days.
While providing details, the traffic police stated that the Bengaluru-Hosur National Highway is flooded near Veerasandra, leading to slow vehicular movement. It further stated that several other roads, including Sagar Junction, Dairy Signal, and Rayasandra, are also witnessing intense waterlogging, leading to inconvenience to the commuters. The traffic police stated that the continuous rainfall has caused waterlogging in these areas, adding that necessary steps are being taken to normalise the situation.

Apart from these areas, several other regions, including Mysore Road, Guddadahalli Junction, Kengeri, Bilekallalli Signal, GD Mara Signal, Dodda Mara, and Chokkasandra, are also facing similar situations. The traffic police have advised the commuters to utilise the public transportation to avoid the inconveniences. The waterlogging in these areas is also likely to lead to inconveniences for the IT professionals, especially during the office hours.
The IMD on Friday stated that several areas of Karnataka are likely to witness moderate to heavy rainfall for the next few days. Along with the rainfall, the coastal regions are also expected to experience gusty winds and thunderstorms. The IMD has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences. It also suggested the fishermen of the coastal regions limit their financial activities for the next few days.
