Bengaluru Weather Today: With rising temperatures in Bengaluru, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rainfall alert for the upcoming week. These pre-monsoon showers are expected to last till weekend and may help lower the maximum temperatures. Currently, the city is experiencing temperatures between 36 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius. Following the anticipated rainfall this week, the maximum temperature is expected to drop to around 34 degrees Celsius.

The Deccan Herald report cited N Puviarasan, head of the Met Centre in Bengaluru, as explaining that the upcoming showers are due to an interaction between an easterly trough at lower levels and a westerly trough at higher levels. He noted, “Bengaluru is currently receiving northerly winds, which are causing higher temperatures. Easterly winds are cooler, especially as northern India faces peak summer.”
