Bengaluru Rain Today: Heavy rain has battered the Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru, for the past few days, turning lives upside down with waterlogged streets and power outages. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rainfall alert for Bengaluru on Friday, with an expectation of a rainy week ahead. The monsoon is expected to hit Bengaluru in early June. The weather is anticipated to remain partly cloudy with spells of rain or thundershowers. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to range between 27 and 21 degrees Celsius, indicating comfortable weather conditions.
Karnataka Weather Forecast
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded a warning for coastal regions, issuing an orange alert due to forecasts of extremely heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre informed that there is a high chance of extremely heavy rains, thunderstorms, lightning and strong surface winds in coastal areas of the state. The orange alert has been issued for the week, starting from Thursday till May 27.
In contrast, North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka have been placed under a yellow alert, with predictions of light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 50-60 km/h.
KANDMC Shared Karnataka Weather Forecast On X
Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X for seven days, stating, "Today's #WeatherForecast: Scattered thunder, lightning storm with wind speed of 40-50 kmph is likely to occur over the state with widespread moderate rain and scattered heavy to very heavy rain. #KSNDMC."

Safety Advisory
Residents have been advised by the weather department to stay indoors and avoid travel if possible. It has been requested to avoid taking shelter under trees. As soon as rain hits, unplug the electronic appliances immediately and keep yourself away from all the objects that conduct electricity.
