Bharat Bandh In Bengaluru: Services in Bengaluru are likely to be impacted due to Bharat Bandh on July 9. The All India Trade Union has called a nationwide strike on Wednesday. The traders’ body is going to protest against the pro-corporate policies of the government. A forum of 10 central trade unions is expected to take part in this strike of more than 25 crore employees. All these employees come from sectors like banking, insurance, postal service, coal mines and highways.

Unions such as the Bengal Provincial Bank Employees Association and the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) are supporting the Bharat Bandh and as a result banking operations are expected to be affected. Bank customers might face trouble in services such as cheque clearance and loan processing. Workers in insurance companies may join the bandh, which may affect customer support services.

Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) have not informed of any impact on services, however, commuters should be prepared for delays or cancellations.
