Bharat Gaurav Tourism Train: The Indian Railways is set to roll out a special Bharat Gaurav Tourism Train for a nine-day journey to four Jyotirlingas and the Statue of Unity. The package will offer passengers a visit to some of India’s most revered sites, including the State of Unity. The booking process has begun, and 350 of the 762 available seats have already been reserved.
Vayu Nandan Shukla, Joint General Manager (JJM) of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), shared the update during a press conference in Amritsar on Friday. “The train is scheduled to depart from Amritsar on October 25,” Jagran.com quoted Shukla as saying.

Route And Timings
- The Bharat Gaurav Tourism Train will depart from Amritsar at 8:10 AM on October 25 and arrive in Chandigarh at 1:00 PM, stopping at Jalandhar and Ludhiana via Beas.
- After departing from Chandigarh, the train will pass through Ambala, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Sonipat, and Delhi Cantt.
- Boarding and de-boarding facilities will be available up to Rewari Junction in Rajasthan.
- In the nine-day journey via Bharat Gaurav Tourism Train, tourists will visit Ujjain (Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga), Indore (Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga), Dwarka (Nageshwar, Dwarkadhish temples), and Somnath (Gir-Somnath Jyotirlinga).
- The final stop of the train will be in Kevadia to visit the Statue of Unity.
Coach Composition: The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will comprise Economy, Standard and Comfort classes.
Fare: The fare for each passenger will be between Rs 19,555 and Rs 39,410, depending on the class of travel.
Meals and Accommodation: High-quality vegetarian meals will be served during the journey.
The travel package includes accommodation, high-quality meals, transportation, insurance and security. However, personal expenses (monument entry fees) are not included in the package.
Security and Comfort: For the safety and security of passengers, security personnel will be deployed. Additionally, passengers will have a tour manager. Medical facilities will also be available throughout the journey.
IRCTC is promoting a nine-day journey as a “one-stop spiritual and cultural tourism package” combining religious tourism with a visit to the State of Unity.
