EXTERNAL Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday called Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari a "spokesperson of terror industry", which is the mainstay of Pakistan. Replying to Zardari's "Let's not get caught up in weaponising terrorism for diplomatic point scoring" statement, Jaishankar said, "We are not scoring diplomatic points but exposing Pakistan before the world".

Jaishankar was addressing a press conference on the sidelines of the meeting of foreign ministers of the member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

The foreign minister said that the credibility of Pakistan on terrorism is depleting even faster than its forex reserves.

"They are committing acts of terrorism. I don't want to jump the gun on what happened today but we are all feeling equally outraged. On this matter, the terrorism matter, I would say that Pakistan's credibility is depleting faster than even its Forex reserves," he said.

Ruling out bilateral talks till Pakistan addresses India's concerns on cross-border terrorism, Jaishankar said victims of terrorism do not sit together with perpetrators of terrorism to discuss terrorism.

In his opening remarks at the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting in Goa on Friday, S Jaishankar expressed concern at terrorism including cross-border terrorism. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived in Goa on Thursday, the first such visit by a Pakistani foreign minister to India in nearly 12 years.

Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto, speaking to India Today on no conversation with his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar during his visit, replied that Until India reviews the action that it took on August 5, 2019 (abrogation of Article 370), Pakistan is not in a position to engage bilaterally with India.
