Bihar Polls: In the National Democratic Alliance, small parties are facing significant hurdles in seat distribution. The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and the Hindustani Awam Morcha are at odds over seats, with the LJP(RV) demanding over 40 seats and the HAM insisting on no less than 15 seats.
But the NDA is considering offering both parties half of their requested seats. While Chirag Paswan's LJP(RV) and Jitan Ram Manjhi's HAM are vocal about their demands, Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha is quiet but eyeing 8-10 seats, Jagran.com reported.
Bihar Polls: LJP Likely To Receive 20-23 Seats
There is speculation that Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) might receive nearly half of the seats allocated to smaller parties in the NDA. This could translate to 20-23 seats for the LJP(RV), 10-12 seats for the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), and 8-10 seats for Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM).
According to political analysts, Chirag Paswan's party is actively negotiating to increase its share of the 41-45 seats allocated to smaller parties. This has put pressure on Jitan Ram Manjhi's HAM, which is fighting to maintain its share.
HAM Threatens To Fight On 100 Seats If Demands Are Not Met
Manjhi's party has stated that it will contest at least 100 seats if its demand for a minimum of 15 seats is not met. HAM's national president, Dr. Santosh Suman, emphasised that his party needs at least 7-8 MLAs to be recognised as a state-level party. Therefore, they expect a respectable number of seats from the NDA.
The final decision on seat distribution is expected within a week.
