The formation of a new government in Bihar is expected within a week. Before that, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will take the oath of office in the Rajya Sabha on April 10. Nitish will resign on April 14 and a new government could be formed on April 15, jagran,com reported. Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said Nitish Kumar will leave for Delhi on April 9.
Only Nitish Kumar To Take Oath On April 10
Nitish Kumar will return to Patna on April 11, a day after taking oath as a Rajya Sabha member the following day. This will be followed by the process of government formation. It is being reported that only Nitish Kumar will be sworn in for the Rajya Sabha on that day. BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Union Minister of State Ram Nath Thakur, and National President of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha Upendra Kushwaha, elected from Bihar, will be sworn in on April 16.
Upon Nitish Kumar's return to Patna on April 11, a meeting of the NDA Legislature Party is expected. He will announce his resignation at this meeting. He will then submit his resignation letter to the Governor.
Bihar BJP To Deliberate On CM Name
It is reported that an important meeting of the Bihar BJP will be held in Delhi on April 10. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are also expected to attend.

The meeting will attempt to reach a consensus on the name of the Chief Minister. From Bihar, state president Sanjay Saraogi, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, and other senior leaders will attend the meeting.
Meanwhile, discussions are underway for a final cabinet meeting chaired by Nitish Kumar on Wednesday, April 8. Important decisions are expected to be made there. Nitish Kumar has already resigned from his Legislative Council membership.
