Jagran Correspondent, Patna: Bihar weather turned pleasant on Saturday bringing much needed relief from humidity and heat of early September. Cloudy skies and intermittent rains persisted throughout the day across several cities, including Patna. Ten districts across the state received heavy rainfall in the afternoon on Saturday. Patna, Siwan, Aurangabad, Madhepura, Saran, Buxar, Katihar, Buxar, Ara, Saran, and other districts experienced heavy rainfall, accompanied by dense clouds.

Heavy Rain Alert In 4 Districts Today

A warning for heavy rain has been issued for Araria, Katihar, Kishanganj and West Champaran on Sunday, while thunder and lightning is expected in 21 districts.

According to the Patna Meteorological Centre's Bihar Weather Forecast, the highest rainfall recorded in six hours this season was 68.1 mm at Patna Airport. Rainfall was also recorded in various parts of the state during the past 24 hours.

Nutan in Siwan recorded the highest rainfall of 80.8 mm. According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area developed due to the continuous flow of moisture, mixing of heat and formation of a local system.

Due to this, some areas of Patna received heavy rainfall, while others received partial rainfall. Temperatures are forecast to drop by two to three degrees over the next five days. Maximum temperatures in 15 districts, including Patna, have dropped.

Patna's maximum temperature dropped by four degrees Celsius to 30.9 degrees Celsius, while
Kaimur recorded the highest temperature at 36.9 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, a trough extending from South Gujarat to Jharkhand is extending into northern Bangladesh. A low-pressure area has developed over Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, along with a cyclonic circulation. Under these influences, isolated rainfall activity is expected over the next three days.
