Microsoft founder Bill Gates will be attending the AI Impact Summit in Delhi, the Gates Foundation clarified soon after media reports claimed that the government was reviewing its invitation over his mention in Epstein Files. Gates has strongly denied explosive allegations in Jeffrey Epstein investigation files, calling the claims "false" and expressing regret over his past association with the disgraced financier.
"Bill Gates is attending the AI Impact Summit. He will be delivering his keynote as scheduled," the Hindustan Times quoted the spokesperson at Gates Foundation as saying.
Earlier today, NDTV reported citing sources, that the government wishes to "stand with the survivors". However, there have been no official statement regarding the same. India is hosting the AI Impact Summit 2026 at Delhi's Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20, welcoming leaders from across the world.
Bill Gates Denies Allegations Of Wrongdoing
Previously, speaking to Australia's 9News, the Microsoft co-founder addressed a draft email written by Epstein in 2013 that alleged Gates had contracted a sexually transmitted disease and sought antibiotics to secretly give to his then wife, Melinda French Gates. Gates said the email was never sent and was entirely fabricated.
"Apparently, Jeffrey wrote an email to himself. That email was never sent. The email is false," Gates said, suggesting Epstein may have been attempting to defame or extort him.
'Every Minute I Spent With Him, I Regret It'
Gates admitted he deeply regretted spending time with Epstein. “I don’t know what his thinking was there. Was he trying to attack me in some way? Every minute I spent with him, I regret, and I apologise that I did that,” he said.
US Justice Department has released millions of pages of Epstein-related documents. Among them were Epstein’s claims that Gates’ former adviser, Boris Nikolic, was drawn into “ethically questionable or potentially illegal” actions. A spokesperson for Gates dismissed the allegations as “absolutely absurd and completely false,” adding that the documents only show Epstein’s frustration and “the lengths he would go to entrap and defame” the billionaire.
