The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has extradited a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist suspected of sending finances, arms, and ammunition to Bengaluru-based militant units from Rwanda, according to officials.
Salman Rehman Khan's extradition was part of a highly confidential operation carried out by the CBI's Global Operations Centre in coordination with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Interpol's National Central Bureau in Kigali.
Khan is accused of criminal conspiracy, membership in a terrorist organisation, and material support for the Pakistan-based LeT. Meanwhile, Salman is the 17th suspect to be extradited and deported in major NIA cases since 2020. The NIA had previously achieved comparable success in global collaboration in criminal cases by extraditing Khalistani terrorists Tarsem Singh Sandhu and Bikramjit Singh from the UAE and Austria, respectively reported ANI.
