Bengaluru-Chennai-Hyderabad Bullet Train: In a huge announcement, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said that the southern part of India will get a bullet train connectivity.
The high-speed train will connect key cities of South India, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Amravati. CM Naidu said that a survey for the route has been ordered.
The Andhra CM was addressing the 'India Food Manufacturing Summit' when he revealed the plan for the bullet train in South India. CM Naidu said that the bullet train connectivity will cater to a population of five crore people from the above four cities.
"Very soon bullet train is going to come to South India. That is going to happen. A survey has been ordered. From Hyderabad, Chennai, Amaravati, Bangalore, all four cities, more than five crore population and the biggest market in the world," said CM Naidu.
Once materialised, the people can see the state of logistics, he added. CM Naidu further stated that apart from the bullet train, Andhra Pradesh will develop its roadways in a big way, which will include excellent maintenance of even remote roads on par with international standards.
Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train
At present, the construction is underway on the much-awaited Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor. In the latest update, the Ministry of Railways has said that the corridor in Gujarat is nearing completion.
The Ministry said, "The Bullet Train stations on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad corridor in Gujarat are nearing completion. With modern design, cultural identity, seamless connectivity and eco-friendly features, the stations will redefine passenger comfort and set new benchmarks in travel".
Details About Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train
- The corridor is 508 kilometres long and India’s first bullet train service.
- It will run at a speed of 320 kilometres per hour, cutting travel time between the two cities to two hours and seven minutes.
- It will start at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai and will link Gujarat’s Vapi, Surat, Anand, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad.
- According to the government officials, the total cost Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project is estimated to be around Rs 1,08,000 crore.
