Champai Soren New Party: Amid the ongoing political development in Jharkhand, the former Chief Minister of State, Champai Soren, announced the formation of a new political party and has also kept the doors open for alliances. Speaking to the reporters today, Champai said that he had mentioned three options: retirement, organisation or friend. He said that he won't retire but will strengthen a new political party, and if he meets a good friend on the way, he will move ahead with them.

"I had mentioned three options - retirement, organisation, or friend. I will not retire; I will strengthen the party, a new party, and if I meet a good friend on the way, then will move ahead with them," Champai Soren told reporters, leaving open the possibility of future alliances.

When soren was reminded that he has not much time left for floating a new party before the state goes to polls, Soren said, "That's not your problem."

“When 30,000-40,000 workers can arrive within a day, then what problem will I have in forming a new (political party),” he added, and asserted that the new party will be formed within a week.

Amid speculations that he might join the BJP, the veteran politician had said he experienced "bitter humiliation" as chief minister, which compelled him to seek an alternative path.

"After so much humiliation, I was forced to look for an alternative path," Champai Soren had said, alleging that all his government programmes in the first week of July were abruptly cancelled by the party leadership without his knowledge.

"I don't understand who is saying all of this..." He said he came to Delhi for "some personal work". Soren said he didn't meet any BJP leaders.

The former Jharkhand CM came to Delhi on Sunday last week. As he landed in national capital, Soren said that he hasn't met any BJP leader and that he is in the national capital on a "personal" visit.

Earlier, he expressed his pain over the way he was treated by his own party and said that "he was devastated as his self-respect was harmed" when he was asked to resign from his post after Chief Minister Hemant Soren was released on bail. Soren said that he was "insulted" during his tenure, adding that until the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly polls, "all options are open for him".

In a long post on X, Soren reflected on his political journey, from advocating for workers against industrial houses early in his career to his involvement in the Jharkhand movement, emphasising his commitment to public concerns.

"Can there be anything more humiliating in a democracy than a Chief Minister's programmes being cancelled by another person?" Soren listed out the bitter experiences he faced during his tenure.
