Char Dham Yatra: Authorities have imposed a complete ban on making reels and videos inside the temple complexes of Badrinath Dham and Kedarnath Dham during the upcoming Char Dham Yatra. Devotees will not be allowed to carry mobile phones or cameras beyond designated entry points.

At Badrinath, phones and cameras will be restricted beyond Singhdwar, while at Kedarnath, the ban will apply from the platform area. Devices will have to be deposited before entering the temple premises.

Char Dham Yatra Rules: Decision Taken After Review Meeting

The decision was taken during a high-level review meeting on Char Dham Yatra preparations held at the transit camp on Saturday. Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey and Garhwal Inspector General Rajiv Swaroop said the move was necessary to ensure smooth darshan.

Officials said making reels inside the Dham complex had caused crowd management issues during the previous Yatra.

Char Dham Yatra: Arrangements For Mobile Deposits

District Magistrates of Chamoli and Rudraprayag have been instructed to make proper arrangements for the safe deposit of mobile phones and cameras near the temples.

Char Dham Yatra Likely To Begin In April

While the official dates for opening the doors of the four Dhams are yet to be announced, authorities said the Yatra is expected to begin in April. The doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri will open on Akshaya Tritiya, which falls on April 19 this year.

The opening dates of Kedarnath are announced on Mahashivratri, while Badrinath’s dates are declared on Basant Panchami.

Char Dham Yatra: Registration Plan

Officials confirmed that registration will follow last year’s pattern, with 60 per cent online and 40 per cent offline registrations for pilgrims.
