Chennai Metro Parking Charges: Chennai Metro Rail have implemented revised parking charges across its station with the aim of accommodating the increasing demand from non-commuters while prioritising parking space for metro commuters. The new parking tariffs are effective from May 1.

Chennai Metro Parking Tariff: Monthly Passes

To ensure parking availability for frequent metro riders, the provision of monthly passes has been extended exclusively to metro commuters who have taken a minimum of 15 rides in the last 30 days.

Monthly Passes Applicable At 6 stations

This facility is applicable at six stations: Wimco Nagar Depot Metro, Sri Thiyagaraya College Metro, Nehru Park Metro, Koyambedu Metro, Ashok Nagar Metro, and Alandur Metro.

Monthly Passes Parking Suspended At 4 Stations

However, due to limited parking space, the provision of monthly passes has been temporarily suspended at four stations: New Washermenpet Metro, Nandanam Metro, Egmore Metro, and Shenoy Nagar Metro.

Parking Charges Increased At 18 Station: Full List

The hourly parking tariff for non-commuters has been increased at 18 stations. These stations include Thiruvotriyur Metro, Thiruvotiyur Theradi Metro, Kaladipet Metro, High Court Metro, Washermenpet Metro, Government Estate Metro, LIC Metro, Guindy Metro, Nanganallur Road Metro, Meenambakkam Metro, Thirumangalam Metro, Airport Metro, Mannadi Metro, New Washermenpet Metro, Nandanam Metro, Egmore Metro, Ashok Nagar Metro, and Alandur Metro.

Furthermore, the monthly pass tariff for non-commuters, who either do not travel by metro or have taken less than 15 rides in the last 30 days, has been increased at two metro stations: Arumbakkam Metro and St. Thomas Mount Metro.

The parking tariffs at the remaining stations remain unchanged.
