Chennai Power Cut: There will be a scheduled power outage in over 50 areas in Chennai on Wednesday, November 13, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm due to maintenance work. The power supply may be restored earlier if the work is completed ahead of schedule. This power shut down comes amid a yellow alert for heavy rain in Chennai and neighbouring districts by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Perungalathur: Mangala Apartment, Serusti Villa, GKM College Road, Jai Water, KK Nagar, Perumalpuram, Saravana Nagar, Kargil Avenue, Ayyanar Avenue, Joel Apartment and SV Forms.

Nolambur: S&P Garden, VGN Monte Carlo, SRR Nagar, Raja Garden Area, Gurusamy Road, Nolambur Phase I&II, Union Road, VGN Nagar Phase I to IV, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th blocks, Kambar Salai, Kavi Mani Salai, Bharathi Salai, Annamalai Avenue, Meenakshi Avenue, Reddypalayam Avenue, MCK Layout, MGR University, Panan Solai Street, Madha Koil Area, Perumal Koil Area, Gajalakshmi Nagar, Vembuli Amman Area, Sri Ram Nagar, Pachaiappan Nagar, Sakthi Nagar, Padasalai Street. The Electricity (Supply) Act 1948 in the State of Tamil Nadu is a vertically integrated utility responsible for power generation, transmission, and distribution. As per the provisions under Section 131 of the Electricity Act, 2003, TNEB was restructured on November 1, 2010, into TNEB Limited, Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO), and Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation Limited (TANTRANSCO).

Tamil Nadu Weather Forecast

Mild to moderate rainfall, along with isolated thunderstorms and lightning, is expected to continue in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe until November 14.

Isolated heavy rainfall is forecast in Tamil Nadu from November 11 to 15, in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema from November 12 to 14, and in Kerala from November 13 to 16. Additionally, coastal and South Interior Karnataka may experience heavy rain on November 14.
