Tamil Nadu News: Heavy security was deployed outside the Vadapalani Andavar Temple in Chennai on Monday (December 30), following a bomb threat that later turned out to be a hoax. A senior Chennai City police official stated that an unidentified individual called the police control room in the early hours of the day, alleging that a bomb had been planted at the Lord Murugan temple.

In response, senior police officials were immediately alerted, and the St Thomas Mount Deputy Commissioner instructed Teynampet Assistant Commissioner Arogya Ravindran and Vadapalani Crime Branch Inspector Amudha to carry out thorough searches at the temple premises.

A team of police officers, accompanied by a Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and a dog squad, reached the scene at 1:30 am on Monday. After conducting a thorough search of the premises and confirming there was no bomb, the temple was cleared for opening at 4 am, as reported by The Hindu.  The Vadapalani police have filed a case and are working on identifying the individual who made the bomb threat.

Ahmedabad police have arrested two more suspects in connection with a parcel bomb explosion that injured two individuals in the Sabarmati area on Saturday morning. The explosion is believed to be part of a revenge plot orchestrated by 44-year-old Rupen Rao, who sought retaliation against his estranged wife’s family.

Rao is identified as the mastermind behind the attack, which targeted Baldev Sukhadia, a friend of his wife, as well as Sukhadia's father and brother. After his divorce, Rao became obsessed with seeking revenge against those he felt had wronged him. He allegedly used online resources to learn how to make bombs and firearms for his scheme.
