In a shocking incident, a man beat his tenth wife to death over suspicion of theft in Chhattisgarh's Jashpur district, as per a report by the TOI. As per the information, the incident took place in the Sulesa village of the district.

The accused is identified as Dhula Ram killed her wife, suspecting that she had stolen food and a saree from a wedding ceremony.  Reportedly, he suspected that her wife, named Basanti Bai, had stolen rice, cooking oil, and a saree from the wedding function they had visited recently.

Basanti was the tenth wife of Dhula Ram. His nine ex-wives abandoned him over his abusive behaviour. 

After killing her, he dumped her body in a forest in Jashpur and covered it with a heap of dry leaves.

The incident took place in the Pandrapath area, at the Bagicha region. It came to light after the body started decaying and emitting a foul odour five days later.

According to the police, Dhula Ram had visited a wedding function in the neighbourhood with Basanti Bai. On Sunday, villagers noticed a foul smell from a forest area.

Upon exploring, they found a decomposed body with the face reportedly disfigured beyond recognition. After that, the police was called on site. Initial evidences and witness accounts led to the revelation, following which, the accused was arrested by the poli 

Police said that the accused had grown suspicious and paranoid in his marriage as he feared abandonment. 

In another incident from Uttar Pradesh's Deoria, a man who returned from Dubai was killed by his wife and her lover. The accused, reportedly, dismembered her body into two pieces and stuffed it into the trolley bag. The victim was identified as 38-year-old Naushad Ahmed. He had returned from Dubai just 10 days before the murder.

The crime unfolded after a local farmer, Jitendra Giri, visited his field with a harvester and found a trolley bag.
