Chhattisgarh News: Residents will enjoy a three day public holiday on November 12, 13 and 15 in view of Igas festival, also known as Budhi Diwali, upcoming by-election and Guru Nanak Jayanti. During this time period schools, colleges and banks will remain closed.
Public Holiday On November 12
After Diwali, there is the Igas festival on November 12 which is also known as Budhi Diwali. Under Raipur South Assembly by-election 2024, holiday has been declared in government and private schools having polling centres on November 12, before the polling day. For the by-election, polling material will be distributed to the polling parties on November 12.

Public Holiday On November 13
A public holiday has been declared in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on November 13 . On this day, private and government schools will remain closed due to the South Assembly election. Apart from this, banks will also remain closed.
Public Holiday On November 15
In view of Guru Nanak Jayanti On November 15, all the schools, colleges and offices of Chhattisgarh will remain closed. Apart from this, the day also coincides with Kartik Purnima and Guru Parv. Schools, colleges, banks will remain closed.
Recently, all Delhi government offices were closed on November 7, and a public holiday was declared in observance of 'Pratihar Shashthi' or 'Surya Shashthi' (Chhath Puja).
"The Lieutenant Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to declare Thursday, 7th November 2024, as a holiday in all Government offices under the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi on 'Pratihar Shashthi or Surya Shashthi (Chhat Puja)'," read a notification issued by Pradeep Tayal, Deputy Secretary, General Administration Department.
Chhath Puja is widely celebrated across the country, particularly in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh.
