Chhattisgarh Rain Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several parts of Chhattisgarh are likely to witness moderate to heavy rainfall between September 9 and 13. Along with heavy rain, multiple parts are set to experience thunderstorms, gusty winds, and lightning. The residents have been advised to follow the guidelines and limit their outdoor activities during the rain to avoid inconveniences.

Heavy Rain Likely In Many Regions 

While providing details, the weather department stated that light to moderate rainfall is expected in some regions on Tuesday. However, the rain activities are likely to increase from September 9 onwards, leading to waterlogging in the lower regions. The farmers have been advised to protect their crops and limit their financial activities during the rain to limit the damages.

These Regions To Witness Fresh Rain

As per the advisory, parts of several districts, including Balrampur, Surguja, Surajpur, Bilaspur, Raipur, Dhamtari, Janjgir-Champa, Durg, Korba, and Mahasamund, are set to witness moderate to heavy rainfall in the coming days. The continuous rainfall is likely to reduce the temperature by two to three degrees Celsius, providing relief from heat and humidity.\

As per the data from the meteorological department's Bilaspur center, the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.6 degrees Celsius, 1.7 degrees above normal. Apart from this, the minimum temperature was 26 degrees Celsius, 1.5 degrees above normal. However, the temperature is likely to fall by at least two degrees Celsius following a fresh spell of rains.

Bilaspur To Receive Rainfall

The IMD has stated that light to moderate rain is expected in many parts of the state over the next two days with the possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorms in isolated regions. It further stated that cloud movement is expected to increase in Bilaspur during this period of time. A low-pressure area has formed in central Uttar Pradesh, which could impact the state's weather in the coming days.
