Cockroach Janata Party Protest In Pune: After the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) staged its first protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 6, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged paper leak cases in the country, the Gen Z-led outfit has announced another agitation in Pune on June 11, reiterating its demand for his resignation.

The announcement regarding the protest was made through its official X handle, and the post was also shared by its founder, Abhijeet Dipke.

“Cockroaches will demand Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation in Maharashtra’s educational capital Pune. How many Pune cockroaches will join?” the CJP said. The protest is scheduled to take place at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) at 4 pm on June 11.

“Let's meet in Pune! Hail Maharashtra!” Dipke wrote.

The outfit is seeking Pradhan's resignation following the controversy surrounding alleged irregularities in the CBSE results and the NEET paper leak.

Why is the CJP founder planning another protest?

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said on Sunday that he would stage protests in various states and cities across the country if Pradhan does not resign by June 13.

“Earlier I said that if Dharmendra Pradhan does not resign till Saturday (June 13), the agitation will go on a wider scale. Going in that direction, if Pradhan won't resign, I will personally go to different cities and states and undertake protests with a demand for his resignation,” Dipke said in a video posted on his official X handle on Sunday night.

When asked about recent Gen Z protests in Nepal and Bangladesh, Dipke stressed that the CJP movement has remained peaceful and cannot be compared with demonstrations that took place in the neighbouring countries.

He also said that the CJP is exclusively a Gen Z movement and will not be associated with any political party.
