Congress Rally: Amid the Congress' major rally in Delhi against the alleged poll rigging, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders on Sunday claimed that the opposition leaders wanted to "eliminate" Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The remarks from the saffron party came after some of the Congress leaders were allegedly seen raising controversial slogans against the prime minister. As per the visuals shared by the news agency IANS from the venue, the Congress workers were seen strongly criticising PM Modi and claimed that his rule will come to an end soon. While the BJP has slammed the grand old party for its "hidden agenda", the Congress has not responded to these remarks yet.

BJP's Strong Response

While reacting to the visuals, the BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla stated that in the name of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the Congress wanted to attack the prime minister. "So the agenda is clear. It's not about SIR. It is about Sanvidhan pe Vaar... In the name of SIR - they want to eliminate PM Modi? Recently, Rahul Gandhi threatened the ECI, too. So far, Congress has abused PM Modi 150 + times," Poonawalla stated in his post on X (formerly Twitter).

Apart from this, the BJP MP Sambit Patra also slammed the main opposition party by stating that the people will not accept disrespect to their "beloved leader". "Whenever they have used abusive language against PM Modi or his family, the public has rejected them," Patra asserted.

Congress' Rally Against "Poll Rigging"

The main opposition party has announced a mega rally at Delhi's Ramleela Maidan against the alleged poll rigging in the recent state Assembly elections. Congress senior leader Rahul Gandhi has claimed that the Election Commission has helped the BJP to win the recent polls. He also stated that thousands of voters are either added or deleted as per the convenience of the ruling party.
