The number of coronavirus cases have increased at an alarming rate in India. Amid the spike in the number of coronavirus cases, PM Modi will meet the chief ministers of all states on Saturday via video conferencing and discuss whether the lockdown should be extended or not.
Many states have already urged the Prime Minister to extend the lockdown to break the chain of the virus in the country. Meanwhile, the state governments in Punjab and Odisha have already extended the lockdown till April 30.
The government, meanwhile, has dismissed the reports of community transmission in India and urged people "not to panic" but asked everyone to "remain aware and alert".
