New Delhi | Jagran News Desk: The total toll of coronavirus cases in India has reached 15,712, according to the latest data by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The death toll due to COVID-19 also climbed up to 507. Out of the total number of cases, 12,974 were active cases, while 2230 people have been cured of the deadly disease.
Out of the total coronavirus cases in India, nearly 30 per cent have been found to be linked to the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi. The mortality rate in COVID-19 cases in India has been around 3.3 per cent, the health ministry said on Saturday.
Globally, the tally due to the pandemic has risen past 2.3 billion while the fatalities have reached over 1.6 lakh.
In the last 24 hours, the United States has recorded nearly 1900 cases, taking the death toll above 30,000 with nearly 7 lakh cases, according to the latest data from the World Health Organisation (WHO).
