The rising cases of Covid-19 in India indicate towards resurgence, as a total of 685 active cases were reported in 24 hours across the country, taking the total coronavirus toll to 3395, Jagran.com reported. 4 people have succumbed to the contagious infection in the last 24 hours.

Corona deaths were reported, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka and Kerala, one each.

A total of more than 100 cases have been registered in the last 24 hours across 8 states in the country. On a positive note, approximately 1435 individuals have been discharged after successfully recovering from the infection. Over 100 cases reported in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Karnataka so far.

As of May 30, Delhi, Gujarat, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu reported 375, 265, 205, 467, 234, 1336, 117 and 185 cases of Covid-19, respectively.

Karnataka Issues Advisory For Students

As Karnataka witnesses a continuous surge in COVID-19 cases, the state government has issued an advisory for schools. In a letter sent out late on Friday night, as per PTI, parents were advised not to send their children to school if they show symptoms such as fever, cough, or cold.

The Centre is fully prepared to handle any situation arising from the current health scenario, Union Minister of State for Health and AYUSH (Independent Charge) Prataprao Jadhav assured on Friday.

In an interview with a news agency, Jadhav stated that the Central Health Department and AYUSH Ministry are on high alert, closely monitoring the situation, the report added.
