Covid Deaths in India: In two separate incidents, Delhi witnessed the loss of two lives due to Covid-19. A five-month-old child, who was battling COVID-19 along with cerebral palsy (CP), global developmental delay (GDD), seizures, pneumonia, and sepsis, succumbed to the infection. The child had pre-existing respiratory failure, and despite exhaustive medical efforts, could not be saved, Jagran.com reported

In the second case, an 87-year-old patient with multiple comorbidities, including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and kidney disease, passed away. The patient had severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and Covid pneumonia, leading to sepsis and septic shock. Being on dialysis, the patient's condition worsened, ultimately resulting in his demise.

According to the state health department, Maharashtra has recorded three deaths with 105 active infections on Wednesday. Maharashtra’s active caseload now stands at 526. 17 people have died due to Covid-related issues in the state since January 2025.

According to health officials, the individuals suffered from conditions like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic bronchitis, and cardiac arrhythmia, a News18 report stated.

As per the Union Health Ministry data, Kerala remained in first place in terms of the highest Covid cases with 1373 infections on Wednesday

The data shared by the health ministry on June 4 revealed that the total number of active cases has crossed the mark of 4000, reaching 4302 cases. The ministry data noted that Delhi and Gujarat recorded the highest number of active cases on Wednesday at 64 each. Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal followed the list with slight differences, registering 63 and 60 active infections each.
