Maharashtra has witnessed heavy rain, leading to waterlogging at several places. This has affected the day-to-day lives of people. Meanwhile, CPI leader Sanjay Nangre has protested against these problems in a unique way.

Nagre protested against the waterlogging issues in Maharashtra's Shevgaon by sitting in the stagnant water on the road. He also took a bath in the water filled in the pit. A video of the incident shared by ANI shows the CPI leader sitting on the road and bathing in mud.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in Pune and has forecast continued moderate rainfall for the next three to four days, predicting "generally cloudy skies and a few spells of moderate rain."

According to recent data, Lonavala experienced the highest rainfall, measuring 115.5 mm, closely followed by Wadgaon Sheri with 113.5 mm.

Weather Forecast For Other Parts Of Country 

Heavy rainfall continues to affect several states across northern India and other regions. The National Capital, Delhi, has been experiencing light to moderate showers nearly every day since the monsoon began. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that Delhi is expected to see some drizzle on Wednesday.

In addition to Delhi, light to moderate rain is anticipated in parts of eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for August 21, warning of potential heavy rainfall in Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Manipur, Kerala, Assam, and Meghalaya.
