If you plan to visit the park in Dwarka Sector-16, you will now be required to pay an entry fee to the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). Entry will not be permitted without payment of the fee. This directive has been issued by the office of the Deputy Director (Horticulture) of the Dwarka Division of DDA.

DDA officials have stated that the order comes from higher authorities, and they are simply implementing it. The new directive has sparked anger among residents, as it now restricts their ability to freely visit the park. The 36-acre District Park in Dwarka Sector 16D, which features trees, plants, an open gym, a running track, and swings, was designed to provide a space for the public to enjoy fresh air. However, this circular, which mandates an entry fee, was issued after receiving approval from the Vice President of DDA on February 25.

Under the new directive, visitors to the park will now be required to pay an entry fee of Rs 200 per month. Entry will be permitted only with a valid pass, which can be either a daily or monthly pass. The daily pass will cost Rs 20, while the monthly pass is set at Rs 200. For senior citizens, the daily pass will be priced at Rs 10, and the monthly pass at Rs 100.

Similarly, foreign nationals will be charged a daily fee of Rs 100 to enter the park. Following this order, entry for local residents from nearby areas has been restricted, leading to protests being planned against the new directive. Komal Bhatia, President of the Dwarka People Apartment RWA, expressed that charging people for park entry in this manner is unfair, especially since children visit the park to play.
