The Delhi Vidhan Sabha Election 2025 voting is underway from 7 AM as scheduled, with a high level of enthusiasm observed among the voters. In several areas, lines formed outside polling booths even before the 7 AM start time.
In the Delhi election, key political leaders are exercising their right to vote. President Droupadi Murmu, Delhi's Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, and Delhi CM Atishi, among others, have cast their votes. These leaders have also appealed to the public to go out and vote.
President Droupadi Murmu voted at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central School in New Delhi. Long queues have been seen at polling booths across the capital since early morning.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi voted at the polling booth at Nirman Bhawan.
Delhi CM Atishi voted and said, “Delhi Police is working for BJP, but in a democracy, it is the people who hold power. BJP workers are indulging in hooliganism, but the people of Delhi support those who work. I urge the people of Delhi to vote for truth and goodness.”

AAP candidate Manish Sisodia voted at his polling booth in Jangpura constituency. BJP candidate Pravesh Verma also voted, urging people to come out in large numbers and vote. He mentioned that under PM Modi's leadership, Delhi will see a government that will work on major plans such as cleaning the Yamuna River, Ayushman Yojana, and providing employment.
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar voted at a polling booth in New Motibagh and emphasized that over 1.5 lakh people are involved in organizing the election. He urged everyone to vote and not stay home. (Photo-PTI)

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri voted at the Anand Niketan polling booth in South Delhi, urging everyone to participate in the democratic process and encourage their families and relatives to vote.
Delhi BJP President Virender Sachdeva showed his ink-marked finger after voting at a booth in Mayur Vihar Phase-1.
Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora also voted and showed the ink mark on his finger after voting at a polling booth.
Voter participation is particularly high in Muslim-majority areas of Delhi, reports jagran.com. Voting is ongoing at 13,766 polling booths across 2,696 locations in Delhi. There have been no reports of issues at polling booths or any incidents so far, and the voting process is peaceful. A heavy security presence has been deployed across the city.
Delhi's Chief Executive Officer, R. Ellis Waz, cast his vote at the College of Art polling booth on Tilak Marg and appealed to the people of Delhi to vote in large numbers.
Delhi has 1,56,14,000 eligible voters, and voters who arrive by 6:00 PM will be able to vote.
After this, the fate of the 699 candidates from BJP, AAP, Congress, and other parties will be sealed in the electoral process.
