JE News Desk: A 26-year-old man was stabbed to death by an unidentified person in southeast Delhi's Pul Prahladpur area, said police on Tuesday.
Identified as Vikas, the deceased is a native of district Saran in Bihar. He used to work as a lift operator of the foot-over bridge lift near the MCD toilet in Pul Prahladpur. He used to live inside the MCD toilet.
The incident took place on Monday at nearly 10:24 pm, said police. A police control room (PCR) call was received regarding a man who was stabbed by someone near MCD toilet opposite Shiv Mandir in Pul Prahladpur area.
After receiving the call, a police team rushed to the spot and found that the injured had been sent to Batra Hospital by PCR Van. The victim succumbed to the injuries and the doctors declared him brought dead after reaching to the hospital.
The crime team was then called to the spot. They inspected the crime scene and took pictures. A case has been filed under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code and further investigation into the matter is on.
In another separate incident that took place in Gurugram this morning, a 19-year-old woman was stabbed to death by a 23-year-old man under broad daylight. The entire incident was captured on CCTV. The clip shows a man stabbing the victim following an altercation.
The accused, Rajkumar, took out his blade and started attacking the victim. The woman accompanying the victim, allegedly to be her mother, tried to intervene but failed to save her.
According to the police, both the man and the victim are from Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district, and the woman worked as a domestic help, as reported by NDTV.
