Delhi Airport Flight Status: Fog and poor visibility in Delhi disrupted Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport’s operations on Tuesday, delaying over 200 flights between midnight and 9 am. The national capital witnessed dense fog in the morning with visibility dropping to as low as 50 metres in many areas. Safdarjung recorded the lowest visibility at 50 metres. Meanwhile, Palam's visibility was recorded at 100 metres.
Delhi Airport Advisory
Delhi airport issued an advisory on Tuesday, stating that flight operations are being conducted under CAT III conditions amid dense fog. It advised passengers to check with their respective airlines for the latest flight updates or visit the airport’s official website, while assuring that on-ground officials are available across all terminals to provide necessary assistance.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a orange alert as the national capital continues to witness a thick blanket of fog for the second consecutive day.
This follows Delhi recording its coldest February day in the past four years on Monday. According to the IMD, maximum temperatures are likely to remain between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures are expected to range from 7 to 9 degrees Celsius.
From 3 to 5 February, the sky will remain partly cloudy, with shallow to moderate fog at many places during morning hours. Dense fog at isolated locations is likely on February 3.
On 5 February, strong surface winds are expected during the day. Morning hours may see shallow to moderate fog. Temperatures will remain near normal with partly cloudy conditions.
On 6 February, partly cloudy weather is likely with morning fog ranging from shallow to moderate. Winds will increase further, mainly northwesterly, becoming moderate to strong.
