Delhi Flight Cancelled Today: As tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated, flight operations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport were significantly impacted. As many as 138 flights to and from Delhi Airport were cancelled on Friday, according to a source, cited by news agency PTI.

International operations saw 5 departures and 4 arrivals that were cancelled between 5 AM to 2 PM today. On the domestic front, there were 66 departures and 63 arrival that have been cancelled.

"Delhi airport operations remain normal. However, due to evolving airspace conditions and heightened security measures, some flight schedules and security processing timings may be impacted,' DIAL said in a post on X on Friday.

IndiGo has announced a waiver on change and cancellation fees for flights to and from 10 cities affected by recent disruptions. The waiver applies to bookings made until May 8 for travel to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, and Rajkot, and will remain valid for travel through May 22.

In an official statement, the airline confirmed that passengers flying to these 10 cities during the specified period can modify or cancel their bookings without incurring any additional charges.

Airlines Issue Safety Alerts

At least four private airlines, including Air India, IndiGo, Akasa Air, and SpiceJet, have issued airport advisories for arrivals in response to continuous Pakistani drone attacks on many northern and western Indian cities.

The advisory were issued after the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) urged all airlines to undertake additional inspections and prevented people from entering terminal buildings.
