Europe Cyberattack: Following reports of a cyberattack disrupting operations at several European airports, including London and Brussels, the Ministry of Electronics and IT said that Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) uses the same MUSE software, but no impact has been detected so far.
However, the government carried out a swift security check at the airport after cyber attack reports from Europe emerged, Hindustan Times quoted the IT Ministry as saying.

Although the cyberattack has not affected India so far, airports have been instructed to remain vigilant. “There is no impact observed so far as per our conversation with multiple entities in the country,” the IT Ministry added. The Goa, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Mangaluru, Guwahati, and Thiruvananthapuram airports are safe as they do not use the MUSE software targeted in the cyberattack in Europe.
“The Collins MUSE application is mainly used in European countries and as per open source intel only selected airports were impacted due the incident,” the IT Ministry said.
Cyberattack At European Airports
Multiple airports across Europe, including Brussels and London’s busy Heathrow, experienced disruptions on Saturday due to a cyberattack. The cyberattack targeted the MUSE software, which affected the check-in systems, HT quoted airport service provider Collins Aerospace as saying.
“There was a cyberattack on Friday night, 19 September, against the service provider for the check-in and boarding systems affecting several European airports, including Brussels Airport,” Brussels Airport stated.
