Delhi NCR Weather Today: The national capital region (NCR) is set to experience a much-needed respite from the sweltering heat as several parts of Delhi received heavy downpours on Thursday morning, providing relief to the residents.
Similarly, the neighbouring city of Noida is also expected to witness rainfall throughout the day, with cloudy weather persisting in the morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a generally cloudy sky in the Delhi-NCR region, with very light rain or thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds (speed 25-35 km/h) for the day.
Delhi 7-Day Weather Forecast
The weather forecast for the week ahead, until July 2, suggests that the region will experience light rain, with heavy rainfall predicted for 30 June. The IMD has forecasted a generally cloudy sky with moderate to heavy rain or thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds (speed 30-40 km/h) during this period.
Noida 7-Day Weather Forecast
In Noida, the weather is expected to be similar, with a thunderstorm and rain predicted for today, June 27. The forecast also indicates generally cloudy skies with moderate rain on June 28 and 29, followed by heavy rain and cloudy conditions on June 30. Rain and thunderstorms are also expected on July 1 and 2.
Gurugram Weather Today
Gurugram, on the other hand, is expected to have a partly cloudy sky today, June 27, with the possibility of one or two spells of rain or thundershowers until 1 July.
According to Skymet, a private weather agency, the national capital is expected to witness monsoon showers by the end of this week. Additionally, the India Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for the Delhi-NCR region, indicating the likelihood of light to moderate rain and gusty winds (speed 30-40 km/h) in several areas, including Seelampur, Vivek Vihar, Preet Vihar, Akshardham in Delhi, Gannaur and Sonipat in Haryana and Kandhla, Baraut, Bagpat, Meerut, Modinagar, Kithor, Garhmukteshwar, Pilakhua, Hapur, Gulaoti and Siyana in Uttar Pradesh.
Delhi NCR Weather: Rain IN THESE Areas Today
The weather department has also identified specific areas in Delhi, such as Alipur, Burari, Seelampur, Shahadra, Lodi Road, Lajpat Nagar and Tughlakabad, as likely to receive light to moderate intensity rainfall, along with the NCR areas of Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Greater Noida and Faridabad.

While the IMD has not yet announced the exact date for the onset of the southwest monsoon in the region, the national capital and its surrounding areas are expected to receive rainfall for the rest of the week. The weather department has also predicted fairly widespread and widespread rainfall for Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, western Uttar Pradesh, eastern Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand over the next seven days.
