Waves of customers flocked to Apple Stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Pune on Friday morning as the newly launched iPhone 17 series went on sale. In Delhi’s Select Citywalk Mall, people began lining up early, eager to be among the first to get their hands on the latest iPhone. In Bengaluru, shoppers queued up in front of the recently opened Apple Hebbal store in Phoenix Mall on Bellary Road.

The tech giant Apple unveiled its brand new iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro Max, AirPods 3, Watch Series 11, Watch SE3, and Watch Ultra 3 on September 19. Of the lineup, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is commanding the most interest, especially in its eye-catching Cosmic Orange colourway. In India, many are linking it to saffron, a colour rich with cultural and symbolic meaning.

“I have come from Sangam Vihar… I have been standing in line since morning. I am very excited, and holding it in my hands feels like I have already won something. The Cosmo Orange colour looks really amazing and striking,” a buyer told news agency PTI in Delhi.

“This time, this colour will be more popular because in India it is a saffron colour. I am Muslim, but I love this colour,” he added.

Another buyer in Mumbai told ANI, “I have purchased the iPhone 17 Pro Max, one in 256GB and the other in 1TB. I was waiting in line since midnight, and now I have got it. It has new features… The orange colour is new, and it’s in demand.”

iPhone 17 Pro Max Price In India

iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,49,900 for the 256GB variant. Then comes 512GB (Rs 1,69,900), 1TB (Rs 1,89,900), and the highest-end 2TB (Rs 229,900) model.
