On Tuesday, Delhi's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) R. Ellis Vaj met with President Droupadi Murmu and handed her a voter information slip to enable her to cast her vote in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. The CEO was accompanied by the District Electoral Officer of New Delhi, Sunny Kumar Singh, and Booth Level Officer (BLO) Suresh Giri.

The CEO's office stated that the voter information slip contains all the necessary details to help voters exercise their democratic rights smoothly. Most voters in Delhi have already received the voter information slips. The CEO's office has appealed to all eligible voters to participate in the election process and cast their votes on February 5th to strengthen democracy. Before voting, voters should ensure that their names are listed in the voter list and carry identification documents like Aadhaar card or voter ID when going to the polling station.

Voting In Delhi Tomorrow

The national capital will go to the polls on February 5, and the election results will be declared on February 8. Monday marked the last day of campaigning for the Delhi Assembly elections.

Over 1.56 crore voters are eligible to cast their ballots from 7 am onwards on Wednesday.
Voting will take place across 13,766 polling stations in all the 70 Assembly constituencies to decide the fates of 699 candidates in a contest that could reshape the political landscape of the capital.
Led by Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP is seeking a third straight term, banking on its governance record and welfare schemes. On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making a determined push to reclaim the capital after more than 25 years.

The Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row till 2013, is striving to stage a comeback after failing to win a single seat in the previous two elections.
Polling will begin at 7 am on Wednesday and continue until 6 pm under tight security arrangements.
