Delhi Car Blast: Following Dr Shaheen, who was involved in the Delhi blast conspiracy, three doctors were dismissed from Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial (GSVM) Medical College who had travelled to Saudi Arabia. One of them, Dr Hamid Ansari is currently posted at the Government Medical College in Kanpur Dehat, jagran.com reported.

On November 10, a high-intensity blast ripped through a car near Red Fort in Delhi, killing 13 people and injuring several others, hours after the busting of a "white collar terror module". The arrested included doctors linked to Al-Falah University.

Why Did The Dismissed Doctors Go To Saudi Arabia?

Dr Hamid Ansari told Dainik Jagran that he doesn't know about Dr Shaheen, but he and his fellow dismissed doctors, Hafizul Rehman and Dr Nisar Ahmed, went to Saudi Arabia for a job. They stayed there for seven years. Currently, both are working in private hospitals in Lucknow. Investigating agencies are preparing to investigate whether they went abroad solely for the job or for some other reason.

Dr Shaheen, who served as a lecturer in pharmacology and head of the department at GSVM Medical College from 2006 to 2013, was dismissed for absenteeism. Hafizul Rehman, who was in the physiology department, Hamid Ansari, who was in the anatomy department, and Nisar Ahmed, who was in the surgery department, also disappeared without notice at the end of 2013. All three were dismissed by the government in 2021.

As per Dainik Jagran, Dr Hamid Ansari is a native of Asansol, Bengal. He worked at GSVM Medical College from September 2010 to September 2013. Due to the transfer process and low salary, he moved with his family to Saudi Arabia and took a job as an assistant professor at Jazan University for 15,000 riyals.

Dr Hafizul Rehman, who accompanied him, also worked at Jazan University. Dr Nisar also arrived some time later, but he worked at a private hospital.

According to Dr Hamid, he returned to Kanpur in 2020-21 and joined a private medical college there in 2021, where he worked until December 6, 2023. On December 7, he started as an associate professor at the Government Medical College, Kanpur Dehat.

He says that Dr Shaheen lived in GSVM's L Block, while he lived in Type 4. The two never met face to face.

Agencies Investigating Dr Shaheen's Bank Accounts

The white-collar terror spree of Dr Shaheen and Dr Mohammad Arif Mir now appears to be linked to several other doctors. Investigating agencies are gathering data on doctors and staff who have been in contact with Dr Shaheen. Suspecting funding for Dr Shaheen, the agencies are examining her salary account as well as a bank account in the Pech Bagh area. Furthermore, the accounts of Dr Arif and three other dismissed doctors are also being investigated.
