Delhi Blast: Karnataka authorities beefed up security across the state in the wake of the Delhi blast, in which 12 people have lost their lives and left several others injured. Subsequently, Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport on Tuesday issued an advisory for the passengers, urging them to arrive well in advance to complete security checks.

The airport authorities appealed to air travellers to stay in touch with their airlines for flight-related updates. The Bengaluru airport shared an advisory on its 'X' account, saying the passengers are encouraged to allow sufficient time for travel formalities.

"Due to enhanced security measures at airports across the country, we request all passengers to plan their travel and arrive at BLR Airport well in advance. This will ensure a smooth journey, providing sufficient time to complete the security check without delays.
For flight-related information, please stay in touch with your respective Airline. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to keep your travel safe and seamless," The advisory read.

"This will ensure a smooth journey, providing sufficient time to complete security checks without delays. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to keep your travel safe and seamless," the advisory added.

CM Siddaramaiah Directs Police To Tighten Security Across Karnataka

Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed deep pain and shock over the explosion in Delhi on Monday evening. The chief minister said he has directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to maintain a high level of alert across all district headquarters, including the state capital, Bengaluru.

The CM said that precautionary measures were being taken to ensure that no untoward incidents occur in the state and appealed to the public to cooperate with the police department.

"The news of the car explosion near Delhi's Red Fort, which claimed several lives, has caused deep pain and shock. I pray for eternal peace for the departed souls and wish the injured a speedy recovery," Siddaramaiah said in a post on 'X'.
