In a latest update in the Delhi blast case, a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) from Delhi arrived in Banbhulpura, Haldwani, during the wee hours of Saturday.

The team picked up Mohammad Qasim, the Imam of the Bilal Mosque, to Delhi for questioning, related to the case. The reports were deployed at every corner of the Banbhulpura since Saturday morning.

According to a report by Jagran.com, the Delhi Police have successfully traced the call details of the mobile phone linked to Umar, the terrorist who carried out the Delhi bombings.

On Saturday at 2:30 AM, a Delhi Police team raided the mosque and arrested the Imam of Bilal Mosque. According to police sources, the police took him to Delhi.

Following the raid, police forces have been deployed in the sensitive area, checking both four-wheeler and two-wheeler vehicles. Police forces are stationed at the Bilal Mosque and the Imam's residence near the mosque.

Speaking about the action, SP City Manoj Kumar Katyal said that the Delhi Police has taken action in Haldwani. Security has been increased as a precaution.

Earlier on November 26, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested a Faridabad resident for harbouring Umar before he carried out the Delhi terror blast.

In a statement, NIA informed that the accused has been identified as Soyab. He was the seventh prime accused to be arrested in the case.

The NIA investigations have revealed that the arrested accused had provided logistical support to Umar ahead of the November 10 car bombing that killed 15 people and left several others injured.

Earlier in the day, the accused Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai, Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather, Dr Shaheen Saeed and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay were brought to Patiala House Court after the end of their 10-day NIA custody. Apart from them, three others were also presented in the court.
