The Al-Falah University is already under the scanner after the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) raised concerns over its accreditation claims. Two cases have been filed against the university on charges of cheating and forgery. Earlier, the Association of Indian Universities suspended the university’s membership, saying it ‘does not appear to be in good standing’.
How Is Al-Falah University With Delhi Blast?
The Al-Falah University came under the spotlight following a massive seizure of explosives from Faridabad. Authorities recovered nearly 2,900 kg of bomb-making material from rooms rented by Muzammil, a doctor associated with Al-Falah School of Medical Sciences and Research Centre.
In a related case, Dr Shaheen was arrested after assault rifles and additional weapons were found in her car. Hours later, a Hyundai i20 car exploded near the historic Red Fort, killing 13 and injuring nearly two dozen others. The driver of the explosive-laden car, Dr Umar Nabi, was employed at Al-Falah, raising questions about possible links between the staff and the attack.
