Days after the deadly blast near Delhi's Red Fort sent chills to the national capital, the Delhi government has announced to hold a mega event at the iconic historical site to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur.

The programs will be held at the Red Fort grounds from November 19 to 25. As part of the preparations, Delhi Government's Minister of Arts, Culture, Language and Tourism, Kapil Mishra, and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa met with the concerned officials. They reviewed the preparations for the program.

The government has made the District Magistrate (Central) of Delhi the nodal officer for the event. The Delhi government has planned to set up a temporary museum at the venue that will showcase information related to Guru Tegh Bahadur.

Among other attractions of the event, a light and sound show will also be held from November 19 to 22. Moreover, a Kirtan Darbar will be held after the light show from November 23 to 25.

Speaking about Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's presence, Kapil Mishra said that she will attend the inauguration ceremony on November 19. Sirsa said, "Hosting this historic event in Delhi is a matter of pride for every citizen."

Speaking about the preparations, Sirsa said that a three-tier fire safety, health personnel, and ambulances will be deployed at the venue.

He added that the Delhi Police have been instructed to prepare a detailed traffic control plan.

Sirsa said, "The Delhi Police has been instructed to prepare a traffic control plan. Security, parking, and other preparations were also discussed. All departments have been asked to immediately appoint their nodal officers and inform the Punjabi Academy and the District Magistrate (Central)."

Earlier on Saturday, the Lal Qila metro station was fully operationalised for the first time after the blast. The blast caused 14 deaths, while several others were injured.
