Delhi CM News: Although the name of Delhi's new Chief Minister is yet to be announced, preparations for the swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan are in full swing. The BJP's return to power in Delhi after 27 years marks a significant victory, and the party intends to make the oath-taking ceremony a grand and memorable affair.

Scheduled for February 20, the ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states, and other senior leaders. This event will demonstrate the unity of the NDA, mirroring similar ceremonies held in Haryana and Maharashtra. A meeting of NDA Chief Ministers may also be convened on the same day. The BJP won 48 out of 70 seats in the recent Delhi elections.

A meeting of the legislative party is scheduled for February 19th, preceded by the appointment of an observer by the national leadership. The legislative party will elect its leader in the presence of the observer. Subsequently, all MLAs and MPs, along with the state BJP president, will formally present their claim to form the government to the Lieutenant Governor at Raj Niwas.

The Chief Minister and six ministers will be sworn in at Ramlila Maidan at 4:30 pm on February 20. BJP National General Secretaries Vinod Tawde and Tarun Chugh have been entrusted with organising the event. They have finalized the program outline in consultation with Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva. Preparations at Ramlila Maidan began Monday morning under the supervision of former Mayor Jai Prakash.

Two stages will be set up at the venue, one for the Chief Minister, ministers, Prime Minister, and other senior leaders, and another for other dignitaries. Over 100,000 people are expected to attend, with seating arrangements for over 50,000. LED screens will be installed at the venue and outside. Parking for buses will be arranged near Rajghat and Mata Sundari College.

The ceremony will include Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states, MPs, senior leaders, party workers who contributed to the election campaign, representatives of around 250 religious places in Delhi, BJP officials from booth to state level, prominent leaders from AAP and Congress, community heads from slums, sanitation workers, representatives of Resident Welfare Associations, and representatives of various religious and social organisations.
