Delhi Double Murder Case: Mother, Son Stabbed To Death In Govindpuri; Accused Flees With Rs 12 Lakh, Gold

Delhi Double Murder Case: In a tragic incident in Delhi's Govindpuri, a mother and son were reportedly stabbed to death in the late hours of Wednesday. As per the family members of the deceased, the accused fled the scene after taking around Rs 12 lakh in cash and gold and silver. The Delhi police have begun examining the nearby CCTV footage and have launched a detailed probe into the matter.

As per the reports, the deceased woman's name was Sharda, aged 40, and her son's name is Khushal, who was 14-years old. Sharda's husband found them lying on the kitchen floor and covered in blood when he returned from the market. The deceased woman's husband is a vegetable vendor and sets up a stall at the weekly market.

The family originally hailed from Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district and had been residing in the Govindpuri area for the past 15 years. While the exact reason behind the killing is not known yet, the accused possibly attacked them during his robbery attempt. The police officers have arrived at the site and have begun their investigation.
