Delhi Election 2025: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced 31 out of 70 candidates for the assembly election. This is also putting pressure on BJP to announce the names of its candidates. It is believed that this time, the party leadership is preparing to field state president Virendraa Sachdeva and other big leaders in the election fray.

Virendraa Sachdeva Can Contest From Patparganj Seat

This is the reason why many former MPs including state officials are said to be in the race for tickets. They have also increased their activity on the seat of their choice. Sachdeva can contest from Patparganj assembly constituency. Former Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has been elected MLA from this area twice. Last time he won the election by a very small margin.

AAP Has Made Awadh Ojha Its Candidate From Patparganj Seat

Sisodia will contest from Jangpura this time. BJP leaders say that Sisodia has not worked in the area. That is why he had to change seats. Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Awadh Ojha from Patparganj. Sachdeva’s name is also in discussion from Kasturba Nagar.

Kejriwal Will Face Challenge In New Delhi

AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal is an MLA from New Delhi. Former MP from North West Delhi, Pravesh Verma, may challenge him this time. He has been holding meetings with workers from this area for some time now. Along with New Delhi, he is also said to be a contender from Shalimar Bagh assembly seat, as this area has been the karmabhoomi of his father, former chief minister Sahib Singh Verma.

Who Will Contest The Election From BJP Against Atishi?

To make the path of Chief Minister Atishi difficult, former MP from South Delhi Ramesh Bidhuri can be a candidate from Kalkaji. He has been active in this area for the last few months. He has also started two medical mobile vans in this area. His name is also being discussed from Tughlakabad assembly constituency. He is a resident of Tughlakabad and was also elected MLA from here earlier.

Dr Harsh Vardhan May Contest Election From Krishna Nagar

Former Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan is once again in the race for a ticket from Krishna Nagar Assembly constituency. Before being elected MP from Chandni Chowk in 2014, he was an MLA from this constituency. This time, after not getting the MP ticket, he has started sitting in his clinic in Krishna Nagar.

Their presence is also seen in the programs held in the area. Former Union Minister Vijay Goyal may contest from Model Town. The names of these two leaders are also being discussed from Shakur Basti. At the same time, former Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi is said to be a contender from Lajpat Nagar and former state president Satish Upadhyay from Malviya Nagar.
